- Palm
Springs Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence The Sisters of
Perpetual Indulgence are a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to
"...expiating stigmatic guilt and spreading universal joy.." The funds
that they generate are distributed to local non-profit organizations.
- Desert
AIDS Project provides medical care and comprehensive support
services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the desert community. Free,
anonymous HIV testing is available, as well as counseling, home health
services, legal assistance, and assistance with housing, medications,
food, re-employment, and more. Prevention and education outreach is
available to any group.
- AAP
provides meals to members of the community with low incomes and
suffering with HIV/AIDS.
- The
Golden Rainbow Center - SAGE
provides a safe, supportive, welcoming and active environment that
promotes health, wellness, and social programs to the Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community in the Coachella Valley. The
Center's programs and support services, which promote vibrant aging and
positive images of LGBT persons, connect and unite men, women,
families, and friends who share similar needs and concerns at all
stages of life.
- The
Ranch is dedicated to helping men and women begin their
recovery from the devastating and far-reaching effects of alcoholism
and drug dependency.
- Friends
of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter is a non-profit community
organization dedicated to preserving the dignity, life, health and well
being of all animals.
- The
Leather Archives and Museum - A vital institution for the
future of the Leather Communities of the world. In the collections,
libraries and archives housed by the LA&M, generations of
leather men and women will find the stories, artifacts and information
of their forebears. They will be allowed to build on, rather than
reinvent, the traditions and truths of those who lived
leather/SM/fetish lives before their own.
