PSLOD welcomes community members to explore membership in our organization. All new members are required to complete a pledge process prior to assuming the duties of a PSLOD General Member.

The Pledge Process


Pledging takes place on a quarterly basis and occurs in the months of January, April, July and October. A plege should be able to complete the following requirements in 3 months time but can request an extension in increments of 30 days up to a total pledge time of 6 months maximum. The pledges report to the Vice President.
  • During their pledge term the pledge must attend 3 regular general membership meetings. At each of these meetings the pledge will stand up and tell the membership about themselves.
  • During their pledge term the pledge must work at 3 monthly beverage benefits.
  • During the pledge term the pledge class will, in coordination with the Social Chairman, plan and carry out a club social.
  • During their pledge term the pledge must also interview 20 members of the club in order to become better acquainted with the members as well as for the members to become better acquainted with them.
After completing these requirements the pledge will be voted upon by the general membership and if approved for membership will be installed as members at the next meeting following the vote.
